During Amsterdam International Fashion Week there was a collection that caught my eye especially: Mada van Gaans. Her autumn winter ‘10/’11 collection is called The Serpent Goddess and is inspired by a snake goddess from Crete. Lots of snakeprints, woven in to the fabric and dark colours. Fashion Report: Bibi van der Velden Autumn/Winter 2010 at AIFW.
The work of Bibi van der Velden was as always very extraordinaire. Bubbles of glass, silver arms as a necklace, giant balls and very futuristic designs. The models wore skincolour underwear with the jewellery. Most special item: one model was covered in little diamants (I allready saw it backstage, they were busy with just the little diamants for at least a couple of hours). The models all walked through a tunnel of blue light that gave the whole thing a little extra futuristic touch.

Supermodel Ana Beatriz Barros opened and closed the show and also Bregje Heinen was modelling for the Replay show. I loved the leather bikerboots and the flowerpatterns that came by.

More pictures by Peter Stigter on their website.
