A killerheel sandal made of eco-friendly materials? Sounds very promising! Jean Paul Gaultier designed one together with Melissa, a Brazilian shoe brand. Melissa only works with recyclable plastic. And so they created this shoe made out of transparent recyclable plastic.

You can get it in five colours: Black, beige, caramel, limon and orange. And they only cost you €184. Available from june at Colette, Paris.

Today in ‘In the Spotlight’: Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Not your average designer, but then again is there such a thing as an average designer?

For his summer 2010 collection he created T-shirt with prints of Donald Duck, dresses with a parrot on the shoulder, outfits with a very high pirate value and he gave most of the models a little hat with gauze. Yes, even the men.

His fashion can be described as very cartoon-esque with a touch of humour. Not for everyone, but when it’s your thing, you’ll love it.

Being ‘green’ isn’t something for dull, whitebearded, socks-in-sandals wearing men anymore. Yves Saint Laurent, as always on top of the trends, came up with a new fashionable yet environmentally-conscious concept.

YSL is launching a new capsule-collection called New Vintage II. The idea? They make new dresses out of vintage fabrics, old cuts and silhouettes and unused designs to create a new limited series of dresses.

 There are 121 pieces total right now sold at YSL flagship boutiques in Paris, London and New York. Haven’t had a trip to Paris planned yet? Now you do! Oh, when you are visiting Paris, make sure you pick up some of those Lanvin Stamps!
